How are books and periodicals distributed in the free access area?
About 250,000 of the library's collections (books and journals) are distributed in the free access area on levels I - IV. Here you will find the latest, basic and most important resources in each academic discipline, academic textbooks and publications most frequently requested by students and employees of the university. All collections in the free access area have been classified by academic discipline (based on the Universal Decimal Classification) and marked with a label identifying the publication and a colored, discipline-specific stripe. Books additionally marked with a red dot at the top of the spine are for on-site use only. Periodicals are placed on the last shelves of each floor. Collections in storage do not have this classification.
